About Hanoi
Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is one of the most ancient cities in the world. This place offers examples of both contemporary and classical architecture right in the city center.
A renowned destination for typical cuisine, home to fascinating attractions and hospitable people, and a diverse region with a combination of multi-communities. There is plenty to enjoy in Hanoi, from mouthwatering street food to fascinating history, from traditional entertainment to recreational activities.
Even with a short amount of time, you can still feel the tranquilness of the city while sipping a cup of coffee. Wandering around and shooting artistic photos on elegant streets in the Old Quarter would give you unique experiences that are hardly found anywhere else.
Outside the suburban areas, you can discover small charming villages which are homes to so many ethnic minorities.

Hanoi Attractions
Lake
Hanoi has a lot of lakes, but Hoan Kiem Lake is in its cultural and historic heart. It may not be big–it’s much smaller than West Lake–but the Old Quarter wraps around it, making for a scenic and relaxing escape from the chaos and bustle of the Old Quarter’s streets.
In the middle of the lake is a small island with a small stone Pagoda. You can’t get to it–there are no bridges or boats to the island.
Museum
The HanoiMuseum is embedded in a park with ample water features, where visitors already encounter exhibits from the history of Hanoi and reconstructed traditional Vietnamese villages on entering the museum landscape.
Within the square building, a central circular atrium links an entrance level with the three exhibition levels. These are arranged as terraces projecting further outwards on each higher floor, forming an inverted pyramid.
Of Ethnology
The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology under the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences is in the system of Vietnamese national museums.
The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology has many different functions such as research, collection, preservation, and restoration of objects and materials of ethnic peoples; organizing exhibitions, performances, and other forms of activities to introduce cultures of ethnic groups in Vietnam as well as in other countries.
Vietnam Attractions
Landscape Complex
Distance from Hanoi 100 km
Situated near the southern margin of the Red River Delta, the Trang An Landscape Complex is a spectacular landscape of limestone karst peaks permeated with valleys, many of them partly submerged and surrounded by steep, almost vertical cliffs. Exploration of caves at different altitudes has revealed archaeological traces of human activity over a continuous period of more than 30,000 years.
MORE +District
Distance from Hanoi 315 km
Sa Pa was a frontier township and capital of former Sa Pa District in Lào Cai Province in north-west Vietnam. It was first inhabited by people about whom nothing is known. They left in the entire valley hundreds of petroglyphs, mostly composed of lines, which experts think date from the 15th century and represent local cadastres. Then came the highland minorities of the Hmong and Yao.
MORE +Bay
Distance from Hanoi 155 km
The unique beauty of the bay, with its towering limestone karsts, make this a natural wonder worthy of a UNESCO World Heritage listing.
There are more than 1,600 islets in the bay, their limestone worn down by 500 million years of tropical downpours, and topped by thick jungle growth.
Cave
Distance from Hanoi 399 km
Hang Son Doong, the world’s largest cave.
Located in the heart of the UNESCO-listed Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park in Vietnam’s Quang Binh province, Hang Son Doong is one of the most captivating destinations that can be experienced in Southeast Asia.
Ancient Town
Distance from Hanoi about 800 km
Hoi An Ancient Town is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a South-East Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. Its buildings and its street plan reflect the influences, both indigenous and foreign, that have combined to produce this unique heritage site..
